Geoff Emberling is co-Director of the International Kurru Archaeological Project and Assistant Research Scientist at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, University of Michigan. He previously co-directed an archaeological salvage project in the 4th Cataract region of Sudan (2007-08) and excavation of the early urban site of Tell Brak in northeastern Syria (1998-2004). His research interests include ancient cities and identities as well as museum and cultural heritage practice.
