City Wall

The existence of a substantial wall in the present day palm plantation, located between the Nile and the Kurru plateau was first noted by George Reisner. He recorded the discovery in his field diary, but the nature, extent and date of the wall remained unknown.

Over several seasons, the full extent of the wall has now been established.
